There are all kinds of different people in this world. There’s good people, and bad people. Happy people and sad people. Rich people and poor people. People who want change in their life and people who don’t. Who do you want to be? Do you want to be better for yourself and your family? Then stick up for yourself. Be happy for you. Be bold for you. Work hard for you. There are going to be people who ruin your day, but the only way they’ll ruin it and bring you down is if you let them. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, life is what you make of it. Here’s your chance, it’s a new week. New week meaning fresh. Set a goal for yourself this week, to be happy for 7 days straight. And remember that goal when people are putting you down. Remember that you deserve to be happy and you deserve to reach your goals. Strive…. And succeed. Succeed for the people who said you never would.

Juggling.
Goes to show you how caught up we get on life- I totally forgot today was Thursday. Jesus, time flies. Going on that note of forgetting what day of the week it is, let’s take a sec to talk about stress and the struggle. I was just talking, yesterday, about how difficult it is to survive in the world today. Why is it so freaking complicated to get an education and make a living at the same time? Why don’t schools and jobs compromise with each other. Like, it’s not our fault we’re wanted by everyone- joking. But am I, really? For example, I recently got a new job (yay, congrats me, right?) and when telling my professor that I’m going to need to take a week off from classes to go through training, my professor told me I should think about dropping the class if I don’t have time.. Well, when am I ever going to have time? That’s the problem with today’s world. Obviously we need to work to make a living for ourselves, but we also want a better education for our future selves. But it’s never simple. We, as students and adults, are juggling between work and school and no one seems to appreciate it. Times are different, it’s not as easy as it once was. Or, here’s a different perspective, not everyone’s parents said, “hey, you don’t worry about money and having a job, we’ll take care of that. You just go to school.” Like HELLO, some of us have to bust our @$$**. This is just a reminder to people who are struggling with these two, work and school, that you’re not alone. There are plenty of us out there, and as one of these people let me just say to those in the same boat: I appreciate you, and your struggle.
New Week- Good People
Appreciate the people who were there for you at your lowest. These are the people that are true to you. These are the people that want to see you succeed and aren’t going to give up on you just because you’ve hit a rough patch. The people who befriend you because of your success are just there for the, “I know that person!” Don’t be blind and ignore these people. We all want to think the best of people, but we also need to be realistic. In today’s world, everything is different- hello, catfish! Just be careful who you open up to. Friend people who you wouldn’t mind being compared to. Friend someone who brings out the good in you. Friend someone who makes you want to be a better person. These types of people are rare. So look careful, and choose wisely.
Humble.
Be bold, be positive, and be humble. Be kind to those who deserve it, and even the ones who don’t. Be known as the person who’s always happy. Show no fear, but only strength. Grow as a person, as a friend, as a lover, and as a loved one. Be all you can be and more. When the going gets tough, push back and take charge. Be a leader and not a follower. Be a lover of life and all that’s around. Moral of it all is to be a good person. People love good souls surrounding them. And the people who act like they don’t, show jealousy. Be that person that people are jealous of, but be humble, because the people who bring out the jealousy in others are the people that are living life right.
New Week- Pray
Pray for the people who are struggling. Pray for the people who have lost someone special to them. Pray for people who need financial help. Pray for people who need that job they just applied for. Pray for the health of someone old. Pray for the health of someone young. Trust and believe that good things come to those who wait. Trust and believe that good things come to good people. Be a good person to have good things come to you. Be the person you want to see in your children. Life will throw a million curve balls at us in life, but you should always have faith and always keep the positivity alive. Pray for others in the hopes they’ll pray for you in return- and even if they don’t, do it because you’re a good person.
Quick Rant.
Hi! Sorry for the late posting, again! School is in session and we all know how much time that takes up. However, let me just mention how grateful I am for the opportunity to attend school, for I know not everyone can. I know I always rant about how we need to appreciate life- but I don’t think everyone seems to understand that. If you have access to view this blog, you have access to the Internet, and Internet is luxury. Not everyone can afford Internet. Hell, there are people who can’t even afford the buy themselves food. Love the life that’s given to you and appreciate every moment of it. The good, the bad, and the ups and downs. Be better for yourself and for your family- or at least try. Life isn’t ever easy, but then it wouldn’t be as fun.
New Week- Bad Timing
First off I’d like to apologize for the late post. However, posting this late has motivated me. I’m late in posting today due to the amount of stress I have right now. And why does stress motivate me? Because I want to be successful and happy in my life that I don’t ever have to stress again. It sucks to think we live in a world that’s so hard on us. Why is getting an education so difficult and expensive? Having gotten an education and degree, why is it still so hard to get a job after? Everything in our world is changing and advancing, which is making things become more and more expensive. The more luxurious our world gets, the more luxurious we want to live- meaning double the effort and work we have to put in to get these things. What happened to simplicity? What happened to flip phones? Now we’re paying close to 1k for an iPhone 6 and for what? Because it’s what’s new. To be completely honest, and I speak for myself, all I really want in life is to be able to get an education without stressing over money and how I’m going to pay for it. Once having finished school, then bring it on. Throw whatever you want at me and in my way. Give me the chance to be on the level of people who were able to get an education easier than the rest of us. I’m sorry I didn’t get to choose when I was brought into this world. Because if I were in charge of that, I would have been born a LONNGGGGG time ago when things were easier. I say easier because nothing even comes easy, I’m just saying things are a lot harder for our generation. But, there’s nothing we can do about any of that. So, battle through the stress and come out top. Because we, the people of this generation, are going to come out even stronger because we’ve had to work that much harder. So push yourself and don’t ever give up, no matter how much stress comes your way and how badly you want to throw in the towel.
My Happiness.
I had originally wanted to blog about my recent trip to San Francisco for my personal day; however, I’m stuck at jury duty on this lovely Thursday afternoon in California. So, here’s an on the go post about my happiness lately. I’ve come to realize that when you least expect for things to go smoothly and make you the happiest, is when you’re not trying. Life can be so stressful and such a headache, but that’s only if you let it. We’re so fortunate and blessed to surround ourselves by family and friends who love us and make us happy. For me, I’m especially thankful for my family. So thankful to have such a loving and supportive family. Thankful for my sister who’s given me the greatest gift I could ever ask for, a beautiful niece who will, as of this weekend, be my precious god daughter. A significant other who pushes me and makes me want to be the best person I can be. And for his family, who’s taken my family in as if they were their own. I don’t know what I did to deserve such happiness, but I’m thankful. And I’m thankful to share it with the people I love.
And to everyone else: when you find this kind of happiness, don’t let it go. Appreciate the love and support from the people who care about you, and don’t push them away.
Stay tuned for the photos from my San Fran trip!
Never Forget
Can’t believe it’s been 13 years since the tragedy of the twin towers. No matter how much time passes, in life changing experiences like these, they’re never forgotten. It’s saddening, confusing, and frustrating that we live in such a world where “accidents,” war, and violence is surrounding us. Granted, no life is perfect and easy. But it’d be nice to know we live in a world that’s safe. However, truth is, you’re never really safe and it’s never going to be easy. Be proud of who you are and where you come from, but be those things cautiously. Look out for yourself and the ones you love, and never take life for granted no matter how much of a struggle it is- because this life only gives you one chance… And you don’t get to decide when you stay or when you go.
New Week- Bliss
Appreciate the little things in life. It’s funny because it’s the smallest things in life that make us the happiest, yet we always see past these “little things.” The smile of your children, the sound of the rain, the sound of pure silence. We don’t appreciate these things because we’re all too busy rushing through life. Slow it down, take a deep breath, and look at your surroundings. Realize that you’re blessed. Enjoy life and the little things that come along with it, because no everyone has this luxury. Yes, it’s a luxury- even if you don’t have fancy clothes and drive nice cars, or sometimes you struggle, it’s still considered luxury to some. There are people in different parts of the world who don’t get a moment of silence to themselves, who can’t enjoy the sound of the rain because it’s ruining their homes and their families, and people who don’t get to see their children smile anymore. We’re all dealt a different hand- so if you’ve got a good one, or even a decent one, take it and appreciate it.
