To Each Their Own

So, we’ve passed another holiday. And the more holidays and years that pass, I realize that my life has changed so much. Sure, I’m in my early 20’s and should be living adventurously and being wild and free, but I’m not (at least not wildly). And I like it that way. I can have adventures without needing alcohol to do the trick. I like that I don’t have to find excusing or reasons to go out and drink. There is nothing wrong with drinking, but I think people need to do it more responsibly. If you’re out of high school, you should not dedicate your weekends to drinking and recuperating. But, to each their own. Some people find it fun, and some people are just over it. To me, it doesn’t bother me, it’s just interesting to see how some things change so much, and then some things just don’t change at all. Life as we know it.

What’s a weekend?

Just because it’s Friday, and it’s the end of the week, doesn’t mean your grind has to stop there with it. You can keep pushing yourself no matter what day of the week it is.

For a person who really wants to succeed, they bust their ass; there is no such thing as a “weekend.” Work is every day. Working in your sleep. Working while you shower. Working while you drive. Working doesn’t mean you have to physically be doing something; if your mind is running, and you have ideas building, you’re working- the grind doesn’t stop.

I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to be that person who dreads waking up in the morning because they know that means it’s time to go to “work.” I want “work” to be something that I love, because I’m my own boss. Therefore, I’m going to keep pushing myself, even if I’m exhausted from working 12 days in a row. I’m not stopping, and neither should you.

Be somebody in the world today for yourself and for your family, or future family.

Weekends

The best way to get away from reality and enjoy the weekend- The Happiest Place on Earth.

California Adventure has to be the best place to spend your time on the weekend. And if you’re over 21, get a beer, add a corn dog, hang out, enjoy yourself for a little while; forget about what’s going on in the world outside of that place.

Well, for me, that’s what I like to do. So that’s what I did to kick off my Spring Break! Even if it’s just for 3 hours, why not? Got a pass, why not? Nothing better to do, why not? Need a break from busting your ass, why not? Just because, why not?

And for dinner? Why the hell not?

Weekend Festivities!

So, like many of you, weekends are my only days to have some free time. So when the weekend comes around, I try to find something fun, something that’s going to get me out of the house and clear my head for a little. This last weekend, I took a stroll in Old Town Monrovia; such a great place for people of all ages – especially on a Friday night when the street fair/farmer’s market is going on!

When I go to old town Monrovia, I like to get some ice cream from Cold Stone’s, maybe catch a movie, or get a bite of pizza (Old Town Pizza is the best pizza, probably ever made!!!) If you go on a Friday when the street fair is happening, there are so many things for kids to do, as well as adults. There’s great food, jumpers, face paintings, and cool little stands where business’s sell a couple of items from their stores. I’m not trying to persuade you to go to old town, but if you happen to be in the area of Monrovia, CA I definitely recommend checking it out at least once in your life!

And if you’re just going on a regular week night, you should still take a look around. For adults, there are restaurants, bars, movies (as previously stated), and so much more. During the day, there’s even a local library! All in all, it’s a great place to be for those that want to get out and take a walk on the town.
