New Week- Something Personal

Happy Monday, everyone! First off, I’d like to apologize for my absence from blogging for the last two weeks for I have been traveling- what an experience! Secondly, I’d like to dedicate this post to the single moms… Especially my sister. Many single moms feel like they’re not thought about, or that people aren’t there for them. But I’m here to tell you you’re wrong. The people who love you think about you every day and want to make sure you’re holding up okay. Because we, the people who love you, know that you have the hardest, most rewarding job in the world. Talk about motivation Monday! Motivation to get up every morning (especially 3 in the morning) and support the life of yourself and your child. Granted, times are hard and you wish you had someone there to help you. But you know what? All of the hard work you are doing right now, all of the struggling, the sadness, and stress you’re going through at this time in your life is all for something great- the greatness of your child’s future. You’re appreciated and acknowledged for your hard work. And one day, your child is going to see that his/her mother did everything in their power to give them the best life possible. First day of school, graduation day, their wedding day, all of their birthdays… It’s MOM who made it all possible. And at that moment, when your child realizes you’re their superhero, you’ll realize that all of your struggles will have been worth it. So stick through it to reach that point and know you’re not alone- with this new life you’ve brought into this world, you’ll never be alone again.

Katie, I love you, and I’m so proud of you. Brooklyn is such a lucky girl to have such a hard working mom like you. Smile, be happy, and love life so that she can grow up to be as beautiful as you. Thank you for making me such a lucky aunt, and most importantly, a lucky sister.
